In my village of Khachik, household and construction garbage is everywhere. As we all know, the pollution of the community has a negative impact on the health of its inhabitant: both human and flora and fauna.

To clean the environment of trash, residents of my community mostly burn it. In the process of garbage incineration, numerous toxic gasses are emitted into the air which have an incredibly negative impact on the health of all living creatures.

In the canyon not far from the village, there is an approximately 50 by 5 meter dump which is already half full. Community garbage removal is conducted once per week, however, in the outskirts of the village, it is poorly managed, due to the absence of adequate roads that the garbage trucks are able to travel on.

As a result of bad garbage control, the inhabitants of the village throw their trash in the adjacent territories to their houses causing a nauseating odor.

Khachik village is in Vayots Dzor region and has about 700 inhabitants. I am one of them. My name is Aramayis and I am thirteen. I am worried about the pollution of my village. I am writing articles voicing this problem as I realize that it is necessary to protect the very nature which feeds us.
